What is The Daily Digest?

Reading the news usually means opening several sites and wading through each one's front page. The Daily Digest gives you one calm page: a short brief of what matters today, then headlines sorted into sections, from whichever outlet you prefer.

🗞️

Today in brief

A short summary at the top, built from the day's top stories across sources, so you can catch up in a minute.

⛅

Local weather

Current weather for where you are, using your device's location or, failing that, an estimate from your connection.

🗂️

Sections

Latest, Politics, International, Finance and Sports, each with its own ranked briefing.

📡

15 news sources

Browse by outlet, or let the briefing combine them. Stories reported by several outlets rank higher.

🇳🇴

English and Norwegian

Switch to Norwegian with one tap and get the interface, weather and Norwegian outlets in your language.

🔊

Listen

Have the headlines read aloud, one story or the whole briefing in order. Useful for the commute or the kitchen.

🔄

Always fresh

The page updates itself every five minutes. Open links go straight to the publisher's own article.

📲

Install it

Add it to your home screen like an app. Your chosen source and language are remembered on your device.

Sources

The Daily Digest links to each publisher and shows short summaries only. It does not copy full articles.

How it works

  1. Open the page. On a phone, tablet or computer. Nothing to install.
  2. Read the brief. The summary and weather are at the top of the Latest section.
  3. Pick a section or a source. Use the section bar, or choose an outlet from the source selector.
  4. Tap Listen if you would rather hear the headlines.

Questions

It refreshes every five minutes while the page is open.

How does it know my weather?
